Coloring Visits on the Dispatch Board

Updated this week

Overview

The Dispatch Board in Copilot CRM allows you to sort and color-code visits to help you easily visualize and manage your team’s routes.

You can color visits by event type, service, crew, employee, or use a custom event color you’ve set manually.

Sorting Visits by Color

You can use color-coding to quickly distinguish between different types of visits or assignments.
To apply color sorting, open the Dispatch Board and choose how you want to view your visits:

Sorting Option

Description

Event Color

Sorts visits by the custom color you manually assigned when creating the event.

Event Type

Groups visits by their event type (e.g., visit, meeting, To-Do).

Service

Uses different colors for each service type, such as Mowing, Trimming, or Weeding.

Crew

Assigns each crew a color so you can track their stops visually.

Employee

Assigns colors to individual employees for easy tracking on the map.

As you adjust the sort option, your map and visit list will update automatically to reflect the selected color scheme.

Viewing Multi-Day Routes with Color Sorting

If you select multiple days in your Dispatch Board view, each day will automatically be sorted and displayed using color distinctions.

This allows you to quickly identify which visits belong to which day when reviewing multi-day schedules or overlapping routes.

Changing Multi-Day Colors

You can change the color assigned to a specific day on the Dispatch Board:

  1. Select multiple days on your Dispatch Board.

  2. Click the colored dot next to the date you want to change.

  3. Choose a new color from the palette.

The map will instantly update, showing each day’s stops in their new color for easy reference.

Example

If you’re viewing routes for Monday and Tuesday together, you might assign:

  • Blue for Monday’s visits

  • Green for Tuesday’s visits

Now, when viewing your map, each stop will be color-coded by day — helping you clearly see which visits belong to which schedule.

Tip

Color-coding is a powerful visual tool for dispatchers:

  • Use Crew or Employee sorting to track team progress.

  • Use Service sorting to confirm balanced workloads.

  • Use Event Color to mark priority visits or urgent jobs manually.
