Workflow: Optimizing a Route for a Single Crew

Overview

The Dispatch Board in Copilot CRM makes it easy to manage daily routes and ensure crews are working efficiently. You can quickly filter the Dispatch Board to show only one crew’s visits and then optimize that crew’s route for minimal drive time.


Step 1: Filter by Crew

  1. Go to Team > Dispatch Board.

  2. At the top of the Dispatch Board, click the All Crews button.

  3. From the dropdown list, select the crew whose route you want to optimize.

The page will automatically refresh to show only the visits, To-Dos, or events assigned to that specific crew.
You’ll also see their assigned visits appear on the map above the event list.


Step 2: Optimize the Route

  1. Use the checkboxes beside each visit to select the stops you want to include in the optimization.

  2. Click the Optimize & Save button above the event list.

Copilot will automatically reorder the selected visits based on your route start and stop locations (as set in Settings > Preferences > Maps and Routes).

This process arranges your stops in an efficient “U-shaped” route — starting near your base, working outward, and finishing closest to your end location — to reduce travel time and improve daily efficiency.


Tip

If you prefer to set your own route order, you can use Custom Route Order & Save after manually reordering the visits in the list.


Or, if the optimized route runs in reverse, use Reverse Route Order & Save to instantly flip the route order.
