User seats

A user seat gives one employee access to your Homeworks account using their own email and password. Each employee who can log in and use Homeworks requires one user seat.

If an employee does not need to log in, they do not need a user seat and can remain listed as an employee only.

Each user seat costs $15 per month. Depending on your plan, a number of user seats may be included at no additional cost. Learn more about plans.

Viewing your user seat count

You can see your current user seat usage in two places:

  • At the top of the Team > Employees page, which shows how many seats are used and how many are available

  • On the Settings > Your Billing History page, which shows seat counts and related costs

Assigning a user seat to a new employee

  1. Go to Team > Employees and select + Add Employee.

  2. Enter the employee details.

  3. At the bottom of the page, turn on Assign user seat.

  4. Create a login by entering an email address and password. These can be updated later.

  5. Review and accept the consent message, then select Save and purchase seat.

Once complete, the user seat count will update and a checkmark will appear in the User Seat column for that employee.

Assigning a user seat to an existing employee

  1. Go to Team > Employees.

  2. Select the pencil icon to edit the employee.

  3. Open the User Seats and Privileges tab.

  4. Turn on Assign user seat.

  5. Create or update the login email and password.

  6. Review and accept the consent message, then select Save and purchase seat.

Once complete, the user seat count will update and a checkmark will appear in the User Seat column for that employee.

Removing a user seat

  1. Go to Team > Employees.

  2. Select the pencil icon to edit the employee.

  3. Open the User Seats and Privileges tab.

  4. Turn off Assign user seat.

The employee whose seat was removed will no longer be able to log in to Homeworks.
