Introduction
With Copilot, you can send mass text messages to groups of customers. This is a quick way to share promotions, updates, or important service reminders. Additionally, Copilot provides methods such as the Dispatch Board in addition to the Customers tab for efficiently managing bulk messages.
Text Sending Rates
Text messages are sent at a rate of 100 per hour.
Each SMS message must be under the 1,600 character limit to ensure successful delivery.
Step 1: Select Customers
Go to the Customers tab from the left-hand menu.
Use filters at the top to create your target list (You must use at least one filter in order to send a mass text message).
Click the top-left checkbox to select all customers on the list.
Note: If your filter includes more customers than can be shown on the page, a popup will ask if you want to send to just the visible page or to all filtered customers.
Step 2: Create and Send a Text Message
At the top-right of the customer list, click Send > Text Message.
A popup will appear with text message templates.
Choose a template or edit the message before sending.
When finished, click Send Message.
Your text campaign will begin sending at the set delivery rate.
Troubleshooting Bulk Messaging Issues
If you're experiencing issues with bulk SMS messages not delivering, particularly when sending from the Customers tab:
Ensure that each SMS message is under the 1,600 character limit.
If the message is too long, consider these options:
Edit the template to reduce the length of the message.
Split the content into multiple shorter messages.
After making adjustments, resend the message. SMS messages that conform to the character limit will process successfully and be visible in the Communication and SMS History section.
Bulk Messaging via the Dispatch Board
For scenarios such as schedule changes:
Open the Dispatch Board in Copilot CRM.
Select all the visits affected by the change (e.g., weather-related delays).
Choose the preferred messaging method, such as text or email.
Draft your message and send it in bulk. This workflow enables you to quickly notify multiple customers with consistent information.
