Adding a Customer’s Credit or Debit Card on File

Updated yesterday

Overview

You can securely store a customer’s credit or debit card in Copilot to make future payments faster and easier.

Saved cards can be used for one-time payments, recurring billing, or applying customer credits automatically.

Step 1: Open the Customer Profile

  1. Go to the Customers tab in the left-hand menu.

  2. Find the customer you want to update.

  3. Click the Customer Name to open their profile.

Step 2: Locate the Credit Cards/ACH Section

Once on the customer’s profile page:

  • Scroll down until you see the Credit Cards/ACH section on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • This section lists any saved cards or bank accounts on file for that customer.

Step 3: Add a New Credit or Debit Card

  1. Click the Add a Credit Card button.

  2. A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter the card details.

  3. Enter the Card Number, Expiration Date, and CVC code.

  4. Click Save to store the card securely.

Once saved, the card will appear in the Credit Cards/ACH section and can be selected for future payments.

Tip

If a customer has multiple cards saved, the most recently added card will be used for automatic payments.

You can also delete or update cards anytime from the same section.

Security Note:

Copilot uses Stripe for all payment processing. Card details are encrypted and securely stored—Copilot never has direct access to full card information.
