Setup Guide: Creating a To-Do

Overview

To-Dos in Copilot help you track internal tasks, reminders, and recurring responsibilities for your team. You can create single To-Dos or set up recurring ones directly from multiple areas of the platform.


Option 1: Create a To-Do from the + New Button

  1. Click the + New button in the top-right corner of your screen.

  2. Select To-Do.

  3. Under Type, choose one of the following:

    • Single To-Do – Create a one-time task.

    • Recurring Series of To-Dos – Create a repeating task on a set schedule.


Step 1: Set the Date and Time

For a Single To-Do, select the date, time of day, and estimated duration.


Step 2: Add Details

  • Name or Description: Enter a short title or description of the task.

  • Category: Select an existing To-Do Category or click the gray + button to create a new one.

  • Customers / Properties / Employees (Optional): Link any related contacts, properties, or team members.

  • Color: Choose a color for the To-Do, which will appear on your schedule.

  • Photos (Optional): Add photos or attachments at the bottom of the To-Do form.


Step 3: Save the To-Do

When finished, click Create To-Do to save.


Option 2: Use the To-Do Icon on the Top Bar

You can also create a To-Do using the Create a To-Do icon located in the top-right corner of your dashboard.


Follow the same steps as Option 1 to complete your setup.


Option 3: Create a To-Do from the Schedule Tab

  1. Go to Team > Schedule.

  2. Click the + New Event dropdown button.

  3. Select To-Do from the list.

  4. Follow the same steps as Option 1 to enter details and save.


Tip

Use Recurring To-Dos for routine tasks like equipment checks, weekly clean-ups, or customer follow-ups. This helps your team stay organized and ensures critical tasks are never missed.
