Introduction
Crews in Copilot help you organize employees into teams for scheduling, dispatching, and tracking work efficiently. Each crew can have multiple members, tags, and notes, and can be customized or updated at any time.
Step 1: Create a New Crew
Go to Team > Crews from the left-hand menu.
Click the + New Crew button in the top-right corner.
Enter a Crew Name.
In the Crew Members field, click to open the dropdown and select employees you want to add.
To remove a member, click the X next to their name.
(Optional) Add Tags or Notes to help identify the crew’s purpose or type of work.
Click Save Crew to finish creating your new crew.
Your crew will now appear in the Crews list and can be assigned to visits, recurring series, or properties.
Step 2: Edit an Existing Crew
Navigate to Team > Crews.
Find the crew you want to edit and click the Pencil icon (✏️) next to it.
From this page, you can:
Change the Crew Name
Add or remove Crew Members
Edit Tags or Notes
Adjust the Crew Color for easier identification on the schedule
Step 3: Save Your Changes
Any edits you make to an existing Crew will automatically save. You can always return later to adjust members, notes, or tags as your team changes.
Example Use Cases
Create a Mowing Crew for weekly lawn service visits.
Create a Maintenance Crew for repair and inspection work.
Assign specific employees to seasonal crews (e.g., snow removal, spring cleanup).
