Overview
If you need to update pricing, descriptions, or other details for an existing item or service in Copilot CRM, you can easily do so from the Items & Services page. This guide explains how to edit, duplicate, and manage your existing records.
Step 1: Open the Items & Services Page
Go to the Resources tab in your Copilot dashboard.
Click Items & Services.
This page displays a list of all your current items and services.
Step 2: Find and Edit the Item or Service
Locate the item or service you want to update.
Click the pencil icon next to it to open the edit view.
Here, you can modify key details such as type, category, and name, as well as manage inventory and invoice settings.
Step 3: Duplicate an Item or Service (Optional)
At the top of the edit page, you’ll see the option Duplicate With New Price.
Clicking this will:
Copy the selected item or service
Create a new version with a different price or details
Example:
If you want to keep the original “Lawn Mowing” service but offer a “Lawn Mowing – Premium” version at a higher rate, use this option to save time.
Step 4: Edit Main Information
Under Main Info, you can update the following fields:
Type – Select Service, Item, Labor, or Other.
Category – Choose from the dropdown or add a new category using the + button.
Name – Rename the item or service if needed.
Inventory Item – Check this if it should be tracked in inventory.
Add to All Future Invoices – Automatically add this item/service to all new invoices going forward.
Note: The "Add to All Future Invoices" setting only applies to future invoices. It will not retroactively add the item or service to visits or existing invoices.
Step 5: Update Description and Inventory Details
Add or modify the Description field to clarify how the item or service is used.
If this is an inventory item, update the related inventory details such as quantity or stock location.
Important:
Most fields save automatically, except for the Inventory Items section. If you make any changes to inventory, be sure to click Update Inventory Items to save your updates.
Tip
Use the Duplicate With New Price option anytime you need to introduce seasonal or promotional pricing without overwriting existing item records.
