Managing Customer Portal Settings

Updated this week

Overview

Use the Customer Portal settings to view, share, and configure how customers access their Copilot Customer Portal. This guide explains how to find your portal URL, preview the login page, and link it to your website.

Step 1: Access the Customer Portal Settings

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the top-right corner of your Copilot dashboard.

  2. Select the Customer Portal tab.

This opens the main settings page for your customer-facing portal.

Step 2: View and Copy Your Portal URL

On the Customer Portal settings page, you’ll see your unique portal URL.
You can:

  • Preview the login page to see exactly what your customers will experience.

  • Copy the link by clicking Copy to Clipboard — it will be ready to paste anywhere you need it.

Example:
You might paste this link into your website, email signatures, or automated messages so customers can easily log in.

Step 3: Add the Portal Link to Your Website

Unlike the Work Request Form, the Customer Portal does not include an embed code for a widget.

To achieve a similar experience:

  • Add a button or link on your website labeled “Customer Login” or “Access Your Account.”

  • Link that button to your Customer Portal URL that you copied earlier.

This gives customers one-click access to log in directly from your site.

Step 4: Set a Custom Logout URL (Optional)

You can also configure a Logout URL — the page your customers will be redirected to when they log out of the portal.

Example uses:

  • Redirect customers to your homepage

  • Send them to a thank-you or feedback page

  • Return them to your booking form

This helps you create a seamless, branded customer experience.

Tip

You can test your Customer Portal at any time by visiting your portal URL directly. It’s a great way to ensure the experience looks and functions as intended before sharing it with customers.
