The Customer Portal Explained

Provide each of your customers with the ability to view estimates, invoices, payments, services, and request work all in one place.

Updated over a month ago

The Customer Portal is a central hub that provides information to each of your customers about their account with your business. This allows them to view of estimates, invoices, payments, and much more.

How it Works

The Customer Portal makes it easy for your customers to stay on top of their account. When you send an estimate or invoice, it will appear in your customer's portal. From there, they can:

  1. View the estimate/invoice details

  2. Pay the estimate deposit or invoice amount securely using their preferred method

  3. Download or print for their records

No apps to install, just quick secure access to everything they need in one place.

Dashboard

Inside the Customer Portal, customers can access a dashboard that gives them basic key information about their account with your business.

Estimates

Your customers can easily view estimates that you send to them, accept them, add a payment method on file, and pay deposits on work all on the same page.

Invoices

Your customers can view invoices that you send to them, add a payment method on file, and pay either the invoice or account balance all on the same page similarly to estimates.

Payments

In the Payments screen, customers can add credit to their account if you enable the setting found in Settings > Customer Portal in the CRM. This will charge their chosen payment method immediately, and add a credit on their account that you can apply to future invoices.

Pictures

The Pictures tab lets your customer see before and after photos attached to their visits and any other pictures you attach to their invoices or estimates directly.

Work Requests

The Work Requests tab lets your customers request work from your business at any time, straight from their portal.

Rate Us

The Rate Us tab lets customers leave reviews that you can see in your customers tab inside the CRM. The benefit to this review page instead of sending customers straight to something like your Google review page, is that if a customer leaves a bad review, only you can view it, not potential customers who search you up online.

Pairing this with an automation to automatically text customers who leave a high review a link to your public review page is an unstoppable combo.

My Profile

The My Profile tab lets customers edit their payment information, set up a login to access their portal, and opt in/out of marketing emails.
